Precision Resource seeks an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our well-established Vernon Hills, IL manufacturing division. We're about 30 miles north of Chicago and 30 miles south of Kenosha, WI.  We’re a small-medium sized division of our solid, privately held, global company that innovates and manufactures high volumes of metal parts for automotive, aerospace, hardware and other industries. Summary
To ensure the proper operation of all production and facilities equipment, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Essential Duties
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery (repair or replace worn or defective parts, motors and controls as necessary)
  • Repair, troubleshoot and maintain large conventional presses and custom production equipment.
  • Maintain all pumps, HVAC, presses, tumblers, and sanding equipment.
  • Maintain Cooling Tower, parts washer and driers.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic issues.
  • Respond to equipment stoppage, mechanical breakdowns.
  • Ensure proper documentation and information is recorded daily, including but not limited to production equipment.
  • Take an active part in training and helping others as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing equipment maintenance role, ideally 2+ years, with blueprint reading ability.
  • Technical, vocational, college degree or equivalent work experience.  MECHATRONICS IDEAL.
  • Hydraulic and mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills required; electrical ideal.
  • Ability to diagnose and make good decisions about solving machine problems.
  • Work very attentively to company safety and cost requirements.
  • Knowledge of robotic motion controls a plus.
  • Knowledge of chillers and air compressors a plus.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and continuously improve performance.
  • Very reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work independently but also collaborate and communicate well with others.
  • Applies self-motivation to achieve excellent productivity at $26-$35 hourly plus bonus potential and annual pay increases.
