Our California division, located in Huntington Beach seeks a Manufacturing Engineer.
Summary
Overall responsibility of leading the transition from new product development to manufacturing, providing daily manufacturing support for existing products and for developing, implementing and improving processes. This position drives continuous improvement through operational efficiencies and innovative engineering solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans, designs, and coordinates integration of machinery and equipment into manufacturing process of industrial establishment, applying knowledge of engineering.
- Develops and writes equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposal for integrating machining and equipment.
- Develops automation and robotics solutions to increase manufacturing efficiency
- Oversees installation to ensure machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Determines parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedule required to maintain machines and equipment in prescribed condition.
- Recommends improvements in method, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
- Develops new manufacturing processes
- Optimize manufacturing processes to provide sustainable gains in cost effectiveness and product performance through capital projects, statistical analysis, designed experiments, and procedural changes.
Qualifications, Education, Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience with manufacturing and robotics.
- Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with 3D CAD Software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Experience with Metal Additive Manufacturing (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) is a plus
