Position: Experienced Machinist Location: Huntington Beach, California
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated, flexible, and mechanically capable machinist to join our Toolroom team. This role involves maintaining tooling components to standards outlined in maintenance books, detail drawings, and verbal instructions to ensure tools support production, quality, and customer requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking to develop their knowledge of tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate conventional machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Inspect work visually or with appropriate measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier, Micrometer)
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Perform tool repair, maintenance, and assembly
- Manage stock of spares and consumables, notifying the area leader of required replacements
- Maintain accurate documentation and records within ERP systems
- Use computers to enter all company-required information accurately
- Participate in continual improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, profitability, and efficiency
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of machine manufacturing, safe methods, techniques, and related equipment
- NTMA certification is desirable
- CNC mill/lathe experience is a plus
