Summary: We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and reliable individual to perform needed preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility.
Essential Duties and Requirements:
- Fabricate simple to moderate complexity replacement parts using machine shop equipment.
- Perform repairs to production fixtures using welding, plasma cutting and any other fabricating skills required.
- Perform all work requiring pipefitting.
- Perform all mechanical repairs, including preventative maintenance tasks.
- Perform all work involving furnace brick and insulating blanket repair.
- Maintain necessary records of repairs; enter completed work orders in computer.
- Diagnose and repair simple electrical problems involving motors and electric furnace heaters.
- Repair and/or replacement of furnace thermocouples.
- Maintain daily checks of vacuum furnace fluids and general operating parameters.
- Perform minor repairs to vacuum furnace components including hot zone and manifold train.
- Replace and maintain vacuum furnace pumps.
- Maintain facility wide lighting equipment, including light bulb and fixture replacement.
- When required assist Maintenance Manager.
- Conduct and Document preventive maintenance programs tasks.
- Maintain spare parts inventory at required levels.
- Maintain preventative maintenance supplies at required levels.
- Assist production personnel with equipment set-up and when necessary, start-up.
- Conduct daily visual inspection of all plant equipment.
- Maintain brine recovery system performing all necessary repairs as needed.
- Maintain brine evaporator liquid level, inspecting and maintaining filtration system.
- When required pump out recovered salt into solidification trays and store.
- Maintain control on brine transfer from wash tanks,
- Monitor level of waste by-products of salt recovery notify supervisor when disposal is required.
- Operate and maintain quench oil recovery unit by; controlling oil/water mixture storage; performing preventative maintenance and required repairs; maintaining consumables inventory; maintain portable oil filtration units.
- Maintain control over non recoverable oil waste tank.
Qualifications and Education:
- Minimum High School diploma or GED with or 2-Year Technical Degree or Equivalent Experience. Min 5 year in Manufacturing Industrial Maintenance is required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of shop mathematics.
- Knowledge of blueprint and electrical reading.
- PLC
- Forklift operation.
- Crane operation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others.
- Must be able to analyze relevant Electrical Systems and use deductive reasoning to figure out what part of the system is causing it to malfunction.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Teams, Excel, Power Point) and Email.
- ERP System knowledge.
